Service department celebrates having four Yamaha Master Technicians — the most in Charleston

We are thrilled to share that Chandler Crosby has become the latest Hanckel Marine service technician to receive his Yamaha Master Technician certification, making him the fourth Yamaha Master Tech on our team — more than any other service department in Charleston!

Chandler joins three other Yamaha Master Techs on our team, including Bernard Hilliard, who has been a Master Tech for more than a year, John DeMaria, who has been a Master Tech for 11 years, and Brenden Touchstone, who has been a Master Tech for one year.

In addition to receiving his Yamaha Master Tech certification, Chandler also graduated from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.

Master Technician is the absolute highest certification a Yamaha technician can achieve and only an elite few earn this designation.

The Yamaha Outboard Master Technician program is one of the industry’s most advanced training programs. It consists of six weeklong courses that include classroom and hands-on training and advanced troubleshooting. In order to earn the designation of Master Technician, you have to complete the training program and pass a final certification test.

This is an incredible achievement for both Chandler and our Hanckel Marine service department. It demonstrates the commitment of our team to provide the absolute best possible service to our customers and allows us to continue to raise the bar on quality service in the Lowcountry.
